At the end of the first quarter, it looked as if The Orange Lions would stand toe to toe with The Perry Pirates. However, Perry showed its continued dominance in the CVC as they out-lasted The Lions by a score of 61-28. The Orange Lions scored twice in the first quarter with runs from senior RB DaJuan white (76 yards) and senior QB Ryan Singer (2 yards). But the Pirates of Perry would not be denied the end-zone as The Lion defense struggled to corral their high powered offense.
Orange would eventually score 2 more touchdowns, both again by White and Singer. But by this time, The Perry Pirates had taken control offensively, and were never forced to punt. Their only stops were 2 turnovers caused by The Orange Lions.
The Orange Lions (5-3; 2-3) look to get back on track as they travel to play The Geneva Eagles (2-5; 1-4) this Friday at 7:00pm. Make the travel up to Geneva to support your Orange Lions as the look to finish the season strong with only 2 games left!
