The Orange Lions ended their regular season in dramatic fashion this past Friday evening in the Lion's Den. The Lions won their 10th consecutive game over That Team Over There by a score of 20-7. With that, The Orange Lions reached the best record and the OHSAA playoffs since 1988. It is the FIRST EVER home playoff game for The Orange Lions Football Program.

The Lion offense tallied up over 400 yards of total offense with scores on the ground from Senior RB Jake Sonkin (2) and Junior QB Sean Borgman (1). Of those 400 yards, over 300 came on the ground behind an offensive line anchored by Senior C Bobby Carran. On the other side of the ball, The Lion defense stymied T.T.O.T. all night long except for one scoring drive in the second half. The Lions held T.T.O.T. to only 137 yards of total offense and 7 points in a spectacular effort on the defensive side of the ball. See some of the other numbers The Lions achieved this past Friday evening:

Best Record since 1988 (8-2)

Playoff Birth (First since 1988)

Home Playoff Game (First time Ever)

Most wins in consecutive season since 1974, 75, 76 (20)

Coach Bechlem achieves .500 mark after 9 seasons (45-45)

The win now gives The Orange Lions (8-2, 6-1) it's FIRST EVER home playoff game. They will host the Redmen of Bellevue (7-3) this Friday night in The Lion's Den at 7:30pm. OHSAA Playoff games have starting times of 7:30pm. Please come out and support your Lions as they look to continue their journey! Go Lions!
